Q&A Sarah asks, Mia answers.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
- i hope that in 5 years time i’ll have done all the things i’ve been hankering to do (travel, set up a business) and be ready to settle down and pop out a couple of darlings, if i haven’t already! i’d love to be able to work part time from home and hang out with my kids, much like heidi from mypapercrane does.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
- pleasantly surprised.
If you had one wish, what would it be?
- that wisconsin and the uk were a little closer together. i’d love to be able to pop over for cups of tea (in this wish, i drink tea) and do all the things that best friends should be able to, were there not an ocean inbetween us.
What’s the strangest compliment you’ve ever received?
- i can’t remember it off the top of my head but it was probably something to do with my feet. you get a lot of strange people on flickr. ha.
What is your primary source of inspiration?
- probably the internet, although that sounds cold and well, uninspiring. but there is so much talent just waiting to be found, and almost every day i discover something new that makes me want to expand and grow as a person and as a designer. in a way, it’s all those indivdual people, slogging away, that have inspired us to create this site, so we can showcase as many as possible in one place :) |

Q&A Mia asks, Sarah answers.
when you wake up in the morning, what’s the first thing you do after getting out of bed?
- Feed the cats! Trust me, they wouldn’t stand for anything else.
favourite krispy kreme?
- I have a miserably persistent sweet tooth, so I can’t possibly pick just one… but if I had to narrow it down to a top three, I’d go with the Original Glazed (I’m an old-fashioned girl!), the Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled, and the Dulce de Leche.
country you’d like to visit that you haven’t yet?
- France! I’ve always wanted to visit Paris and the French Riviera, and for all the time I’ve spent in Europe, I’ve never been.
how many sarah’s do you know?
- Far too many! Way more Sarahs than Saras, at least, which speaks well of our parents’ taste.
what are your hopes for the next 12 months?
- This question really had me stumped for a while, and to be honest, I still don’t really know how to answer… all I know for sure is that each set of 12 months has been full of surprises, so I guess I hope the next 12 months continue to surprise me. |
